Siperia day-trip hut

The Siberia Day-trip Cabin is located 45.6 km from Rovaniemi toward Posio, on the southern side of the Kemi River and Vanttauskoski, on the north-western side of Kotikivalo. It is equipped with a stove, table and benches, and there is a spring nearby. It is recommended to boil all water before drinking it. The yard features an outhouse, woodshed and campfire site. Pets are allowed only if all other possible visitors agree. There are no waste bins at the cabin, so you have to take back all your garbage.

Directions: drive 2.6 km out of the Rovaniemi city centre along Sodankyläntie; turn right on Kuusamontie: drive 49.3 km to Vanttauskoski; turn right on Kuusamontie; drive 1.5 km; turn left on Kuusamontie; drive 2 km; turn right on Kivalontie; drive 5 km; turn right on the forest road; drive 2.8 km; turn right on the forest road; drive 1.3 km to the parking area. The day-trip cabin is 50 m from the parking area along the trail.
